Personal Childhood Web

I’ve known this person all of my life.  She has a medium body type with brown almond shape eye and brownish grey shoulder length hair.  Her warm, welcoming smile always lights up a room.  This lovely person is my mom.  As a child my mom notices that I was a little shy around people. She would always encourage me to express my feeling and speak up for myself. The way in which my mom nurtured me is by giving me the right tools to be successful in life.  She cared enough to see that I receive A’s and B’s on my report card as a child and later on in college.  The way that my mom made me feel special is that she made time for me even when she was tired from work.  She will ask how my day went and what I learned in school.  My mom is still a big influence my life because she still gives me solid, strong advice that is very helpful in my everyday life. 

 Mr. Parks and his wife was very kind neighbor of mine when I was growing up.  Mr. Parks was a business man and a troop leader for our local boy scout and Mrs. Parks was a stay at home mom.  Being a single mother of two kids, me and my brother, the Parks nurtured me by showing how traditional families are to one another.  They cared enough to invite my family to their family events that were always fun to attend.  The way that they made me feel special is that they share their lives with me.  Mr. Parks showed how father are to their own children. The way they still influence me is their commitment to each other.  After being married for 52 years their love is still strong.

 My sixth grade teacher is another special person in my life.  Mrs. Brown was a tall, beautiful woman with long black hair and always dresses very professional.  When I was in junior high school, I was very tall and insecure about myself.  The way in which she influenced me as a child is by being a positive role model for me.  She would give me compliments on my school work and my attire making me feel good about myself.  Mrs. Brown nurtured me by standing tall and proud which gave me someone to look up to and inspired to be her one day.  Her caring ways was another attribute about herself.  She’ll always ask how I was doing in the hallways or give me encouraging advice when I came to her.  By doing all of those things made me feel very special about me.  The way her influence still continues to impact my present life is I still remember how she made me feel and what she said

The book that I enjoyed as a child is Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham.  The reason why I chose this book is because of the main character, Sam I am.  Sam I am is trying to persuade his friend to try something new.  While doing so, the two travel to different places, using various means of transportation, and meet interesting characters along the way.  By the end of the book, Sam I am is greatly surprised to see his friend eating the green eggs and ham.

 

My second year as a teacher I had this little shy boy in my class who always looked sad.  At the beginning of the school year, the little shy boy never played with anyone and was withdrawn from his peers.  After some time he opened up to me and I discovered that his mother was very sick.  In order to cheer him up, we often made colorful cards and creative crafts for his mom.  It's saddens me to say that his mother expired before the school year was up.  I attended the funeral and the little boy was so surprised to see me there.  It has been over 10 years since he was a student in my classroom.  But I am happy to say that even to this day, we still keep in touch.
